It is very simple to do.

MATERIALS NEEDED

• Sculpey III
• Liquid Sculpey
• Bag or a container to mix in and a stirrer

Ok lets get started

Step 1: Gather your items an take your sculpey clay in your color choice and your bottle of liquid sculpey. Instead of making white whipped cream I want to make banana cream.

Step 2: Now you just have to mix the two items together to make an uniform mix.

At first I started to mix them in my little tin container but that was getting too messy for me.

So I just put it in a miniature zip lock baggie and mushed it together in there.

The baggie really is a better choice because to pipe it I was gonna put it in the bag anyways so it saved me time.

Tip: also when you are mixing the 2 together in the bag make sure to first squeeze out any excess air because one time the bag popped a hole because of the air pressure and the squeezing back and forth.

Step 3: Once its mixed cut a tiny snip in the corner of the bag and u can use that too pipe it out unto your fake mini cupcakes or whatever it is you’re putting it on.

I usually make a miniature piping tip but I didnt have time to do that today. I will show you that trick another day.

Step 4: Bake according to the clay package instructions and that is all you have to do. Once its done baking you can stand in awe of your super awsome creation.

This is really like part 2 because I did make a previous tutorial on using puff paint as icing but in that tutorial I realized I used older puff paint so it came out harder and not as fluid. So I wanted to make this tutorial to show you the true texture of puff paint and how it can be used to make delicious deco sauce or melting ice cream and other cool effects.

So lets get started.

Materials Needed

• Puff Paint
• Item to cover in puff paint

Step 1:  Take your puff paint and your item u want to cover. I used Scribbles 3D Paint and the color is called Hot Chocolate so its fitting that I make a melting chocolate effect with it. Yum

Step 2: Think about the pattern you want to create.

*I want to make it look like the chocolate is dripping and melting of the candy bar. I really should have the chocolate look like it had a bite taken out of it and then put the melting chocolate there but oh well lol maybe next time I think you get the point.

Step 3: Since this puff paint has a fine tip like an icing tip as you can see in the picture below its easy to pipe and make a melting dripping effect. Just squeeze the bottle in the shape that you want it to go on. It is pretty thick so you can let it dry vertically and it wont mess up.

You can also make it look like deco sauce

and there you go, a super easy and cheap way to make melting effect on your candy and ice creams. If you have any questions leave me a comment and I hope this tutorial was helpful.

In this tutorial I will show you how to make realistic coarse sugar for your miniatures and fake food creations.

MATERIALS NEEDED

• Item to cover in faux sugar or salt
• Twinklets Diamond Dust
• Crafters Pick The Ultimate Glue

Step 1: Take your item and get your glue

I used Crafters Pick The Ultimate glue, it holds on pretty tight to the loose powders and crystals so I think its a nice glue for this project.

Step 2: Add glue to the area you want to cover with faux sugar or salt. I just added some glue to the end of my strawberry.

Step 3: Get a piece of paper and in one hand hold your glue covered item and with the other sprinkle the diamond dust over the glue until its all covered.

Then just set your piece aside to dry, I like to let it dry for at least 24 hours or more before I move it.

You can then just take the piece of paper and pour all the diamond dust back into the jar to reuse. I like to do this because dipping the item into the jar may get other icky specks into the diamond dust and I dont want that.

SIDE NOTES

So what is Twinklets Diamond Dust?
It is ground up glass also known as vintage glass glitter and german glass glitter. It doesnt feel sharp at all it really feels like granulated sugar or salt. It is still glass though and it can be dangerous if it gets into your eyes or it could knick your skin accidently.

I suggest washings your hands after using this product and do not let children play with this.

What else can I do with diamond dust?
Besides fake sugar this would look great on fake pretzels to make it looks like salt. It can also be used to make crushed ice, or shaved ice parfaits.  Fake snow crystals is another cute item you could make with this. Its really great all around for projects where you want a sparkly reflection but not really glittery or a  crystallized or frozen look.

Materials Needed

• Caulk
• Bag
• Lipstick

Step 1: Put your caulk in a bag. Im only making a sample batch so I put mine in a mini baggie. By doing this we are limiting air exposure and not allowing the caulk to cure and get hard. This gives you more working time to add color and pipe it.

oh by the way I just used some cheap-o wet and wild lipstick

Then just mix it together in the bag until its evenly blended. Then its ready to use.

UPDATE: I was worried that the lipstick might affect the curing of the caulk, but nope it was perfect. The lipstick didnt affect it at all and it set up perfect. So feel safe working with this technique it worked out great.

oh and if the lipstick you use has glitter it gives of a shiny sparkly appearance to the caulk. Also I think due to the wax in the lipstick and thats its totally blended, when I touch it, I do get a slight bit of glitter on my hands, but that may be that its not as cured as I thought yet. It could also be that the wax in the lipstick although blended will never cure as the caulk maybe always having a very very slight waxy topcoat? I dont feel any wax but I do see the slight glitter on my hands lol

UPDATE 2: Now that it has had the chance to fully cure, the glitter coming off on my hands is no longer happening. Just dont be impatient like me and let it dry at least 24 hours or more and you’re good to go.

All you need is some caulk and some oil paint. So lets get started.

Step 1: Put your caulk in a plastic baggie to mix, Im only making a sample batch so you can put yours directly into a piping bag or squeeze bottle. When mixing the caulk you want to minimize the exposure of the caulk to air so it doesnt cure and allows you enough time to blend it and make your creations. Which is why I use a zip lock mini baggie and squeeze out the air, it gives me more working time.

Step 2: Put in a drop of your oil paint, you should start with a little drop of oil paint depending on the color you’re trying to accomplish. Then add more as needed to achieve your color.

Step 3: Then just squeeze the bag to mix the caulk with the oil paint, until its fully blended. I added too much red paint so it didnt turn into a light pink but a darker one. Its always better to start with a little bit of paint then too much.

Here is the final product, your very own colored caulk to make your fake whipped cream creations.

You can buy kits of oil paint tubes for about $5 bucks for a set at michaels or other craft stores.

OLD TIP BELOW: You can still use it but its much cheaper to buy the $5 buck kit as stated above

you can also buy oil paint kits like Craft House oil paint by numbers kits. They can cost from $15 to $25 and will give you a ton of colors. So much better than spending alot on big tubes of oil paint. Hope this tip helps.

Tulip Gellies come in all assorted colors. I like to buy the clear one because I have so many paints at home I just add in whatever color I want and I can make any color gel. The clear tulip gellie is opaque at first but dries clear. You can add in any paint to change the color, if you want a more translucent appearance just add in like one drop.

This is how Tulip Gellie looks mixed in with a few drops of paint, I added way too many drops so it wont be translucent anymore.

It takes about 24 – 48 hours to dry depending on the thickness level you use. When dry this has a raised thick look. It does not dry flat like paint, so its great when you want a slight raised effect on your crafts.

Now you have your own jelly consistency Deco sauce. You can use this on just about any surface and its super cheap to make. Try it with brown to make fake hot fudge sauce, or red for strawberry/ raspberry jelly, caramel, you can make so many different types of fake gelatins or even puddings. This is a really fun item.

Here is how Tulip Gellie looks when dried VS. when paint is dried. I wanted you to see that the Tulip Gellie has that thick creamy consistency and paint just dries flat.

and I covered a Snow-Tex topped clay charm with the Tulip Gellie I made

I initially thought I put too much paint and it wouldnt be translucent when dried but it came out really well. It was slightly translucent and you could see the colors underneath a bit. In real life it looks much better than the pictures captured the texture.

Here is a close up look of Snow-Tex, mine is a bit older so it dried out a bit , if you buys yours new it will be much fluffier and smoother.

All you have to do is scoop some up and put it on your creation and let dry. It dries in about 24-48 hours depending on how thick you layer it on.

Here is what I came up with, simple, effective and cheap. You could also pipe this like whipped cream.

STEP 1 is you need to buy some puff paint. There are a ton of different brands , one of the most popular brands of puff paint is Tulip but I always buy the cheapest one available. As you can see in the picture below I bought some puff paint on sale for 4 cents. lol yes that was a super deal oh and puff paint is also called dimensional paint, 3D Paint, Raised paint so just look for any of those names on the bottle.

STEP 2 Just squeeze in the shape of the design that you like and you’re done just let it dry between 24 to 48 hours depending on thick you make it.

*TIPS*

- You can also make 3D shapes for jewelry just squeeze out your design on plastic cling film, let dry and peel it off.

- Puff Paint comes in a really large variety of colors that are widely available at most craft stores and even at most walmarts

- You can practice on a piece of paper if you want to make intricate designs like real icing, such as dollops or lines. Puff Paint will stick to the paper though, but its a cheap way to practice, or use on cling film and whatever turns out bad just cut them up and use as sprinkles.

- Also sometimes when you first squeeze the bottle the paint tends to curl a bit, so I usually never just apply it straight to my crafts. I squeeze it unto a toothpick and then pull away and then take the straight edge left on the tip unto my creations .

Here is an example of puff paint used as frosting on a clay candy I made.

Here is an example of Puff Paint used on a pom pom. Puff paint can be used on just about any material so its really versatile.

MATERIALS

* All of these items are available in the U.S and cost very little and you should be able to find most of them at your local craft store or at online U.S shops.

1. Tulip Gellies – These are perfect to make deco sauce, I like to buy the clear ones so that I can add in whatever paint color I want to make any color sauce.  They cost like a $1 or less and its just like decollage brand deco sauce from japan. In japan decollage deco sauce cost like a dollar too but sellers are just way overpricing them and selling them to people outside of japan for like 5 times the price. Dont be fooled by pretty packaging and fancy names.
2. Puff paint – I love puff paint, it can make a thicker version of Deco Sauce and it pipes out just like decorating icing.
3. Gloss or Craft varnish - you can add color by adding in paints, powders ect.
4. Paints - The trick is to pour on instead of paint on. Just make sure the item you are pouring this on can be painted. Especially if you use caulk since not all caulk varieties can be painted.
5. Gels - Craft gels are fantastic to use
6. Liquid Latex – great to dip stuff and give melting effect
7. Liquid Rubber – great to dip stuff and give melting effect
8. Glue – some of the easiest ones are glue pens since they already have a tip
9. Hot Glue – You can buy hot glue sticks in colors like brown to make melting dripping hot fudge, or white to make melting marshmallows , golden yellow to make caramel. You can even get them in other colors like pink, purple and mint which can make cool effects for melting ice creams. There are so many possibilities.

TIP: Remember that some of these products are not waterproof and they will dissolve in water. So you may want to coat it in some sort of waterproof gloss. If you are just going to keep your creation inside lets say when making miniatures or for a dollhouse item that wont get wet Im sure it will be fine. If you are going to use it for jewelry or anything that has the ability to get wet like on decoden phones or something you gotta make sure you seal it properly or just use waterproof products.
