I've been wondering about this clay for a very long time. I see it on Joann's online store and it looks similar to Grace/Cosmos clay. Those clays are very expensive, but I wanted something new to use besides my Hearty Clay. Would it be ok to use acrylic paint if I am using a sealer? Thanks!

I found recipes for Studio by Sculpey and they require Pluffy. I can no longer find 4 ounce packages in my area but the sets are still available. I have yet to mix the recipes and see what I get. Just another use for Pluffy, I hope it works.

yeah it seems you can not get this product shipped outside of Japan due the fact is has flammable components. I dont know if there are restrictions of it being shipped via boat vs. airmail though. Maybe some larger companies who do imports may be able to get it in your country Im not sure. I will be doing a tutorial on how to diy with similar products with easily available products in every country but it will probably be like a month and a half before I even get to it.

you would have to use a paint that has a flexible material in it or else it would peel off. You could also mix the acrylic paint into another clear medium that has flexibility in it. I dont know how flexible you want the pieces to be, would they be constantly being flexed or you just want something that is not super fragile? . If you just want something that is not that fragile , you could just paint it with regular paint and just seal it with gloss or whatever varnish you prefer. It all depends on the items that you are making at what would work the best.

Have you tested painting this clay after it's dried out? I'd be curious to know if the paint stays flexible with the clay. I do figurines but I paint them after wards when using polymer clay but would love to have the option of them being flexible and not so fragile. Thanks

I like to mix chalk shavings with my caulk. >.< HEHEHE
It once mixed it gives it a pastel color but if you want it darker add a bit more. The shavings need to be dustlike or you will get "flecks" in your "frosting" I shall try Spackle today I thin.
