All about Plastics, Resin & Rubber

Hi everybody this post is going to be super fun and Im sure it will really help get the creative ideas flowing. Many people who make clay miniatures or clay jewelry get stuck as to how to make new textures. Well here is the trick, you can use different types of plastics & resins in your creations. Here is my list for cool materials that will take your creations to the next level.

  1. Resin – This is a 2 part mixture that can be used to create lots of cool things from pendants to syrups to encasing edible objects and make them last forever.
  2. Liquid Rubber – Great for melting effects, Dipping and giving a thick smooth texture like on chocolates
  3. Liquid Latex – Same as above
  4. Jiggly Worm Lures – Did you know those lures that come in all those different colors are made from plastisols which will melt in the microwave and you can use to pour in molds and make jelly textures or liquids for your miniatures or jewelry.

Hey, I’ve been reading your blog since I saw you post on EGL. I just wanted to point out that your last sentence in this post is actually a question! I think its important as a blogger to make sure you proofread your posts or else you come off as an amateur. Keep up the good work.

Well thanks for pointing that out , I’ll fix it later, but I gotta tell ya Im not a super pro so I guess I am an amateur lol so you will probably find lots of grammatical errors on the site. Especially since most of the time Im writting them like at 3 A.M or at 12:34 A.M like I am right now. I am glad you like what I’ve done so far though. Have a great day.
