Polymer Clay Cake Texture

Here is a tiny post but a great one. I finally perfected my polymer clay cake texture to make it look realistic. Also its flexible and squishy like real cake. Its all polymer clay . Now I can also make squishy but durable miniature pieces. I think this is the ultimate miniature cake discovery woo hoooooo. Now it not only looks like real cake but it will feel like it too.

Modena De Light Kit

So as always I like to post about the new craft products in japan. Well it seems soon LED Clay kits will be all the rage. Padico which makes modena clay has created a new kit called Modena De Light. It includes a package of clay an LED light and accessories. They have several other kits which also include making picture frames. Alot of people have been using resin clay to make their lamps so I guess padico wants to cash in on the fun. Especially alot of night lights for kids which sounds like a super cute idea.

I have a few lightbulb ideas after I saw it on their website which I’ll post soon. I’ve been thinking about incorporating more light effects ever since I made my starlight rings that create glowing orbs. I’ve seen the lamps and center pieces done a few years ago but with sukerukun clay.

Enjoy the pics

Kawaii Collection Blast from the Past

Today I was just thinking about my massive collection of japanese items. I’ve collected stationary and japanese craft items since I was in 4th grade lol. I remember trading pencils and erasers with the other girls at recess. So its been about 17 years of being in love with japanese items.

Heres a little bit of some of items I have. My house is over run with cute things lol. A couple of years ago I sold a ton of stuff from my collection. I think I sold about 400 items when I did that. I had a huge collection of memo pads I think I had well over 1000 of them and so many stickers, pencils, erases I never even counted. I also made thousands of pins that I sold, traded, gave away. sigh

I bet so many girls also remember the memo pad craze of flickr lol now I cant imagine paying 50 bucks for a memo pad anymore lol it was so much fun though. Especially with all the ebay bid wars for the vintage memo pads and stickers. Collecting all the pieces in matching sets lol those were the days

This is a super picture heavy post so get ready for a ton of cuteness
